Upon graduating with a B.F.A. in his native Jamaica, Phillip Thomas received a grant to pursue an MFA at the New York Academy of Art. Phillip produces works that deal with issues of colonialism in the Caribbean, and many of the issues of classism that persist in Jamaica and the New World. His work is included in a number of prestigious institutional and private collections.
