I have been focusing on depictions of women performing for over a decade, manipulating material effects to convey the overlap of emotional environments. I shifted to this subject matter while living and working in Brooklyn and experiencing daily commentary as I walked down the street.  Now I live in a town and drive rather than take the subway, yet how women occupy space and how other people feel entitled to visually consume them remain matters central to my work.
